An Industrial Infographic: Better Than 1000 Words
Have no fear, infographics are here to explain concepts, trends, and data more effectively than thousands of words could ever do. It is becoming more and more prevalent for companies to use industrial infographics when they need to explain important things to customers, partners, and investors.
The two main aims of industrial marketing are to explain the technology and to demonstrate how the solution works. Visualization of technology and processes, demonstration of the advantages, and prospective uses within a client"s business are excellent marketing techniques to convey knowledge to a client and start their climb up the sale ladder to that magical nirvana — conversion.
We have compiled a list of the best examples of visualization created by us, Top Lead, that explain the markets, the products, the services, and the expertise of companies that use infographics as part of their marketing strategy. Infographics are are great way to stylishly buck the traditional multi-page, text-heavy reports that everyone pretends to have read.
One Infographic is Better Than 16 Seperate Graphs
This infographic from the Agroexport Infographic Report is based on 16 separate graphs from the FAO report. The result was an elegant and easy-to-read visualization that shows the largest exporters and the volumes they export, the most exported goods, and popular export directions..
Infographics Explain What Can"t Be Understood
An ordinary client shouldn"t be expected to understand how every aspect of an industry works. Furthermore, with technology moving so fast, it can be difficult to give an accurate commentary on the changes happening. Unfortunately, giving this commentary is all part and parcel of the job, helping to develop the market and eventually improve the quality of customers" lives.
For example, The China Development Bank invested heavily in Ukrtelecom while Huawei provided technical assistance. Ukrtelecom, at the time, were aiming to upgrade Ukraine"s current mobile network, and they eventually improved the quality of services and increased the number of their subscribers.
To explain how these investments will affect customers, Ukrtelecom collaborated with Top Lead to publish a brochure outlining the benefits that ordinary Ukrainians could receive from the planned upgrade, and how modernization would improve Ukraine's international connectivity rating.
Infographics Bust Myths
Ukrainian politicians are often guilty of manipulating energy statistics to fit their skewed narrative. Because of this, it was extra-important for Naftogaz, Ukraine"s largest oil and gas company, to show complete transparency in their annual report about where gas comes from in Ukraine and what it is used for. This Top Lead infographic is about the gas balance in Ukraine.
This infographic, from the same report, confronts the myth that the Ukrainian gas transportation system is, for the want of a better word, useless. To bust this myth, Naftogaz and Top Lead, demonstrated the importance of the Ukrainian gas transit system to Europe and outlined the country"s growing ability to produce, transport, and store gas.
Cartography — Insightful Maps Augmented With Insightful Data
A map is a fantastic way to give an introduction or oversight about an industry. Infographical maps simplify the perception of geographically dependent numbers and information.
This particular example is taken from the "Agroexporter" report.
An innovative approach to data presentation helps demonstrate the specialization in each area of a chosen region. This technique is also used in the "Agribusiness of Ukraine" infographic report.
Another map, this time for Ukrenergo, shows all the different sources of power used on the Ukrainian energy grid.
Infographics Demonstrate Expertise and Give the Impression of Leadership
A detailed description and attractive visualization helped SmartFarming position themselves as experts in the agribusiness sphere. Furthermore, they also managed to attract new, notable customers. This infographic illustrates the most common tricks and schemes of fraudsters in the agricultural sector, in detail.

Infographics Explain How Laws Work in a Specific Industry
Legislation is, of course, an important influencing factor in any business. Taking this into account, we created an infographic for our client, BRDO, showing how ineffective laws impede business development. This infographic uses the construction industry as an example, depicting the different stages of preparation of legal documents, the problems that arise due to existing laws, and the consequences thereafter.
Infographics Cast a More Attractive Light on Typically Boring Industries
Infographics are also a great way to express competence and relay important information about complex (read: boring) branches of the economy.
In this infographic for Baker Tilly, we broke down the Ukrainian coal industry and took a closer, clearer look at its standing in the world. One visualization is all it took; rather than a long-winded, blabbering (yawn) analytical article.
The two following Top Lead infographics were developed for Legal Newspaper. These visualisations showed readers, who are overwhelmingly professional lawyers, the state of these industries at the time of publication.
Visualization Highlights the Value of B2B Services and Products to Customers
We helped Carefield demonstrate how they can be of service to farmers. This infographic illustrates the full grain production cycle and then visualizes the stages at which Carefield do their thing. Since everyone involved in agribusiness is fully aware of these production stages, these infographics are solely for promotional purposes.
Infographic Guides Demonstrate the Competence of a Company
The "Transport Balance of Ukraine" handbook speaks, in detail, about the transport industry in Ukraine. It outlines the problems, the feasibility of developments, and the advantages of individual modes of transport. In this example, the review clearly and simply shows the transport corridors that pass through Ukraine.
Infographics Explain the Benefits of Innovation
When it comes to new technology, it is important to be able to visually represent new opportunities that come with it. For the topic of biogas, we have three striking examples.
Infographics for ProEnergy clearly explain how to replace one cubic meter of natural gas. In doing so, it arouses interest in biogas technologies from an audience that may not understand a relatively new concept, but are attracted to the benefits it brings.
Another example for Baker Tilly outlines Ukraine"s biogas potential. This infographic is something for contemplative biogas readers to consider, showing possible gas flows from new sources. It is designed in an intuitive style, graphed with illustrations of pipes, towers, and a biogas tank.
This infographic for Renergo testifies the benefits of biomass gas production for a more informed audience, like farmers who are considering an investment in the industry.
Infographics are the best way for a company to convey important information to customers, partners, and investors. The human brain recognizes, perceives, and remembers visual content much faster and more effectively than text. The number of Google searches for "infographic" is growing exponentially year on year. Prominent, distinguished companies such as Naftogaz, BakerTilly, Google, National Geographic, Instagram have taken note of this, and are actively using visualization to their advantage.
The ability to explain complex products and services to clients and partners in clear language is a superpower. If you don"t know, or don"t have any ideas, how to make your industrial sphere more relatable or interesting to an audience, email marina.budnik@toplead.com.ua and we can help your company become a real a superhero in the B2B world.
